What will I do as a Receptionist?
As Receptionist, you are the first impression a guest will have upon arrival at the hotel, so providing a warm, friendly, helpful welcome, and great service during their stay and when they leave is extremely important.
Working as part of a small reception team, you’ll deal with all guest requests and provide everyone with that VIP treatment.
Is this the right role for me?
Working on reception is a varied and fun role, but you will spend your shift on your feet.
You’ll be happy working as part of a team, pulling together and helping to meet targets.
Experience of using Guestline PMS would be beneficial although training will be provided.
Shift pattern consists of early and late shifts and weekend work is required due to the nature of the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
2. Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained
3. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
4. Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
5. Handle guest complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism
6. Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
7. Assist with check-out procedures and ensure guest satisfaction before departure
8. Maintain a clean and organised front desk area
Skills:
1. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
2. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus
3. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
4. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
5. Proficient in using computer systems and hotel management software
