Our Client
Is a market leading national media company with an exceptional reputation for a range of innovative market leading media platforms. They represent instantly recognisable high profile household brand names that cover a range of high impact advertising platforms including publishing, websites, digital media, and events. They provide businesses and consumers with quality analysis, insight, news, information, and entertainment. Their unique network guarantees that their media reaches a targeted and specific audience which is hugely valuable to advertisers.
Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit an Account Manager.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you will be:
1. Working on a leading household brand.
2. Selling a unique integrated marketing service to new and existing clients, including solutions such as advertising (display, banner), sponsorship, content services, bulletins, podcasts, social, video, and events.
3. Managing an existing base of key client accounts and inbound leads.
4. Self-sourcing new customers.
5. Working with clients throughout Glasgow and Central Scotland across various sectors, including Entertainment, Arts and Leisure, Business, Finance, Energy, Health & Beauty, Food & Drink, Property and Homes, Retail, and Travel.
6. Liaising and negotiating with senior key decision makers within a range of customer sectors both over the phone, face to face, and using video.
7. Identifying customer needs and business needs.
8. Creating, designing, and presenting innovative media solutions tailored to the client to ensure results.
9. Building, nurturing, and developing account relationships with key decision makers.
10. Collaborating with PR agencies and the marketing departments of a wide range of Blue Chip organisations.
11. Working with events and content production teams to ensure campaign ideas, delivery, and optimum results.
12. Maintaining an understanding of the market and competitor media.
13. Working to targets and deadlines.
The Candidate
You should be an experienced media/advertising sales executive with a solid track record of developing new business and managing existing accounts from any advertising/media sales environment (i.e., outdoor, online, radio, newspaper, magazine, directory, etc.). You should be consultative in your approach to solution selling, with a strong understanding of media and marketing departments. You should be passionate about developing new business opportunities in a competitive market, able to negotiate at all levels, and capable of understanding, presenting, and articulating marketing performance data. You should be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate, proactive, and quick thinking, with the ability to develop long-term relationships. A demonstrated past success and a desire to be the best at what you do is essential.
The Package
You will have the rarely available opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment for a major household Blue Chip media organisation on a quality media brand. They are an organisation that values their staff and customers and provides investment in retaining them. You will be given full structured training and ongoing development opportunities. The basic salary is £30K - £32K + uncapped bonus (OTE £45K) + lots of benefits associated with a leading media company.
