Job Description:
A Lucrative Opportunity in Executive Search for a Massively Growing Firm
The Company:
A highly specialised and research-focused human capital advisory firm. As award-winning executive search experts, boasting a successful 20-year history, this firm has earned a fantastic reputation within a number of fields spanning asset management, consumer & retail, and strategy (to name a few). They excel in providing consultancy and retained search services to publicly and privately owned companies across the world.
The Role:
Join as an Associate Consultant on a 3-year rotation programme, learning executive search techniques across different sectors. Ongoing tasks include:
1. Attending initial client meetings to understand the role requirements, company culture, and expectations for the search.
2. Working with senior team members to establish the scope of a search, utilising a variety of databases to build a map of relevant sectors and companies.
3. Speaking to market sources to collect relevant diligence on companies and potential candidates.
4. Making first contact with prospective candidates, understanding their relevancy for a role, and engaging them in the process by advising them on how the opportunity aligns with their career goals.
5. Meeting with candidates to assess experiential and behavioural fit through competency-based interviewing, tailored to each search.
6. Producing the longlist, shortlist, and appraisal documentation for clients.
7. Being a liaison and trusted adviser to both candidates and the client throughout the process.
8. Assisting the search lead in taking formal references on favoured candidates.
Why we like it:
1. Rotational - You’ll get to work in all the different sectors that they work in – this would be in 6-month rotations between the different departments, including TMT, Consumer, Healthcare, Financial Services (Private Equity, Asset Mgmt, Investment banking, Real Estate).
2. Project Driven - This is a very research-based and consultative role. You may only contact 3 or 4 candidates per project you work on. It’s all about finding the right person for the role. Understanding exactly what the client is looking for is integral.
3. Structured Progression - You’ll be getting into a senior associate role in 3 years, principal in 6, and partner in 10/11 years.
4. Salary - £36K salary – with an OTE of £45-50K, this increases in year 2 to £40K, year 3 to £45K.
5. Benefits - Private healthcare, 50% off theatre tickets, £2.5K allowance for conferences and networking, £600 for a mobile phone, and an accredited executive search qualification.
Requirements:
1. Your intellectual capabilities must be evidenced by a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a leading university.
2. Fluency in English and at least one of the following: Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian.
