Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Recovery team. Previous recent recovery experience is preferred but not essential. We are seeking an organised, flexible, enthusiastic and motivated nurse with post qualification experience of working in an acute care environment. A passion for providing excellence in patient care is essential. We expect that applicants are able to demonstrate a keen interest and possess insight into post-surgical care. Experience in post anaesthetic care is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. This post will involve some out of hour work i.e. 20:00 finish, weekend and night shifts. Comprising of 9 theatres specialising in General Surgery, ENT,Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Orthopaedicsand Trauma with an integrated Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit cares for both adult and paediatric patients as well as providing support for a range of specialities within the hospital.
