With big ambitions for growth in 2025, Countfire is looking for an experienced SaaS Marketing Manager to join its remote team. This is a unique opportunity to drive significant changes to our marketing activities, using your knowledge and experience to improve the way we raise awareness and attract new customers to Countfire.
About Countfire
Founded in 2012, Countfire is on a mission to revolutionise the way electrical estimating is carried out and make estimators superhuman!
Through the development of our flagship takeoff software we have grown a fantastic reputation and loyal customer base across the globe. But we’re far from done and have ambitions for significant growth—which is where you come in!
What kind of person are we looking for?
With 3+ years in a SaaS startup environment you will be experienced at planning and managing digital marketing activities. As a software company we expect our team to be confident with technology and construction industry experience would be an added bonus.
It’s crucial you are hungry to take on a challenge and ready to step up our marketing game. You’ll be full of ideas and not afraid to experiment (and sometimes fail!).
With a data-driven mindset you will soon be able to identify the key marketing metrics that have the greatest impact on our business, recognising what is driving leads (and subsequent sales) and where to focus your efforts.
You’ll be working closely with the wider team, and supported by a Marketing Co-ordinator, but ultimately this is an autonomous role so we need someone who can be proactive and self manage.
Your excellent attention to detail and high standards will ensure everything we produce is consistently on brand and your way with words will enable you to write powerful content that is inline with our tone of voice.
What will the role involve?
Firstly, you will need to learn all about our product, customers and the market in which we compete. You will work closely with our Operations Manager, Head of Growth and other departments (Product, Sales and Success) to gain a thorough understanding of how we operate. Then it’s over to you!
* Strategy and planning: define target customer profiles for data-driven marketing
* Lead generation: account based marketing, digital advertising, website and landing page optimisation
* Customer engagement: nurture, reactivation and upsell campaigns to maximise retention and growth
* Product marketing: communicate existing and new product features to our target sectors
* Content marketing: develop impactful content (whitepapers, webinars, infographics etc.)
* Analytics and reporting: track and optimise for key metrics (CAC, LTV, ROI)
As marketing manager, you will also need to provide strategic direction to our Marketing Co-ordinator on the day-to-day activities they manage:
* Paid channels (Google, Bing, Capterra, G2 etc.)
* SEO and content generation (blogs, case studies, videos etc.)
* Social media campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, X etc.)
Longer term, there’s heaps of opportunities to launch new initiatives such as influencer campaigns, events and partnerships. This position offers a unique chance to help shape the marketing department as both the role and the team continue to grow.
About the team
Although Countfire is an established product we have the hunger and attitude of a young company - the best of both worlds and perfect if you’re looking for somewhere you can make a real impact.
The team comes from a mix of backgrounds. From ex-estimators with a wealth of industry knowledge, to developers and marketers with no estimating experience. But everyone has a lot to offer and are full of ideas and enthusiasm.
We work hard to ‘work smarter’ using new technology tools to increase efficiency across the company, but we appreciate that not everything is in place or is perfect so our team needs to be prepared (and excited!) for change.
Benefits include
* Remote working from within the UK with all the equipment you need
* 25 days holiday, plus your birthday and four weeks paid sabbatical every three years
* Access to quality health insurance to help you stay healthy and productive
* An annual training and development budget
* Social events (roughly every quarter) to make sure you get to know the team
Note, although a full-time role, we are open to discussing the possibility of it being part-time (min 4 days a week).
