About the Roles:
You will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored education to students aged 11-16, who are working at lower GCSE levels or Functional Skills qualifications. Each role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other learning difficulties.
Responsibilities:
1. Delivering engaging and adaptive lessons in your subject area (Maths, English, Science, or General Teaching) to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
2. Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure each student receives the appropriate support and challenge.
3. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of SEN professionals, including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and therapists, to provide comprehensive support.
4. Monitoring and assessing student progress, keeping accurate records, and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
5. Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, where students feel supported and motivated to achieve their potential.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the relevant subject area.
2. Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASC, SEMH, and other complex needs.
3. A compassionate and flexible teaching approach, with a strong commitment to supporting the educational and emotional development of all pupils.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
