Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Partner's portfolio and ensuring the smooth operation of our production line. Your responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Support: Assisting line managers and partners in various tasks essential for portfolio management, including chasing client information, overseeing VAT returns, bookkeeping, management accounts, year-end accounts, and regulatory submissions.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional client service and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Mentorship and Development: Take an active role in mentoring and developing junior staff members, providing ongoing training and feedback to support their growth.
Portfolio Oversight: Manage a small portfolio of clients independently, ensuring that both client and Partner expectations are met. This involves allocating, planning, and reviewing jobs, as well as maintaining regular communication and meetings with clients.
Practice Development: Get involved in the development of our internal systems and controls, contributing to the continuous improvement of our practices and processes.
Business Development: Play a key role in the growth and development of our portfolios by identifying opportunities for additional services and maintaining a strong commercial focus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Qualified ACA/ACCA with significant experience in a similar role within a chartered accountancy firm.
* Strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding client service.
* Proven track record of mentoring and developing junior staff members.
* Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development
