Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Derivatives Operations Analyst within the Investment Operations function:
1. Provide support to PIC’s Investment Team (Markets Solutions) dealing desk, managing post-trade activities as well as change requests to support new business requirements.
2. Involvement in change initiatives; specifically around design of new processes and ensuring efficiency is maintained and improved.
3. Act in a technical advisory capacity when helping resolve failed trades, collateral and valuation disputes.
4. Work with counterparties and reference CSAs and valuation sources to assist in the resolution of collateral disputes.
5. Oversee that posted collateral portfolio is consistently optimal and initiate substitutions in the event it is sub-optimal.
6. Manage team queries and ensure appropriate, high quality, responses are provided in a timely manner.
7. Perform daily liquidity management processes, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for Portfolio Managers.
8. Review cash and stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
9. Work with and build on existing relationships with custodians, outsource providers and third-party investment service providers.
10. Effectively collaborate with teammates and the Investment, Finance and Origination teams.
11. Take ownership for own learning and development in both technical (e.g. data analysis and critical judgement) and non-technical (self-insight and relationship management) skills of Derivatives Operations.
12. Keep informed of industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes in the public and private sectors, as well as best practices related to derivatives by attending industry seminars, reading and sharing relevant published articles.
Knowledge
1. Good technical knowledge of derivatives, collateral management and optimisation as well as technology to support collateral management. Experience with the Aladdin platform, ideally.
2. Established knowledge of collateral management and optimisation techniques.
3. Familiar with derivatives regulation, including EMIR, SFTR and Solvency II.
4. Familiar with derivatives documentation, including ISDAs, CSAs, CDEAs, GMSLAs, GMRAs.
