Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Static Specialist Physiotherapist Unscheduled Care at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for delivering highly skilled physiotherapy to patients in the respective clinical areas. You will act as a senior clinical decision maker, leading complex care and discharge planning and delivering rehabilitation to ensure patients are optimally rehabilitated and discharged effectively and efficiently. You will make onward referral to other services as required. You will support the development of less experienced, unregistered staff and students within the team.
In turn, you will be supported to develop into the role and responsibilities of a Band 6 clinician as required.
You will be passionate about empowering patients to achieve their goals and to remain as independent and active as possible. Participation in service improvement is expected and encouraged. Contribution to the on-call physiotherapy service is a requirement of the post.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work within a team.
You must have HCPC registration and membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is highly desirable.
