My client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric motor technology in automotive, requires an experienced maintenance technician to join its team.
Responsibilities:
1. Repairing faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns.
2. Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.
3. Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
4. Working from mechanical schematics drawings to assist with fault-finding.
5. Advising on technical issues, whilst liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities.
6. Monitoring machine performance.
Requirements:
1. To be qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical.
2. Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
3. Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
4. Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics.
5. To be IT literate and to be able to navigate systems easily.
6. To be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.
