Summary
You will be responsible for a range of financial & reporting services to staff, students & external organisations. You will support planning processes by managing resources in a controlled manner. Supporting with team objectives ensuring department data, regulatory returns, reports & operational practices are performed in an efficient manner.
Wage: £24,169 a year
Hours: Monday - Friday (Hours to be confirmed). 37 hours a week
Possible start date: Monday 1 September

What you'll do at work
Your duties will include:
* Support the team of system and finance data experts.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the Finance and Commercial function.
* Ensure all university monthly performance reports are optimised using PowerBi and other FinTech tools.
* Assist in other areas of the Finance & Commercial Department as appropriate.
* Ensure the department's internal website is fit for purpose and up-to-date.
* Maintain the team's timetable of monthly and annual activities.
* Verify and process journals for monthly reporting processes.
* Produce and maintain relevant procedure manuals.
* Provide assistance on ad hoc projects as required.
* Carry out other finance administration tasks as needed.
* Process inter-departmental charges in a timely manner.
* Provide information for external returns and audits as directed by the line manager.
* Verify and process electronic input to Agresso for actual, budget and forecast.
* Deputise as required by the Line Manager.
* Support and engage in open days and other University events.
* Create an inclusive environment for staff and students.
* Undertake health and safety responsibilities as detailed in the University of Gloucestershire's 'Health and Safety Responsibilities' document.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by the line manager.
