JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant & Driver
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Operations Manager
JOB OVERVIEW: The Warehouse Assistant & Driver supports the Warehouse & Logistics Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring that event materials, equipment, and supplies are organised, packed, and transported according to Spook’s high standards. This role is essential to the efficient execution of events, requiring a proactive, organised individual with strong attention to detail. The Warehouse Assistant & Driver will assist in inventory management, overall warehouse management, loading and unloading items, and safely transporting them to event locations, supporting the overall event logistics and setup process.
WORKING HOURS: Typically, Tuesday to Saturday, 7 am to 3 pm, with flexibility based on event schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Packing & Preparation:
o Organise and pack all items needed for events, following detailed pack lists to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
o Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
o Assist in organising and managing inventory, including tracking drink and equipment stock levels.
2. Equipment & Stock Maintenance:
o Clean, inspect, and prepare all equipment for each event, addressing any issues under the direction of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
o Monitor and report on equipment condition, ensuring maintenance needs are documented and addressed promptly.
o Maintain appropriate storage conditions for beverages, particularly temperature control when required.
3. Loading & Unloading:
o Prepare equipment and supplies for safe loading and unloading to minimise risk of damage and ensure they arrive at event sites in optimal condition.
4. Delivery & Collection:
o Safely transport equipment, supplies, and food to event locations according to scheduled delivery times.
o Coordinate with the on-site event team to ensure all logistics run smoothly from arrival through to setup.
o Oversee the return, storage, and organisation of equipment post-event.
5. Vehicle Maintenance:
o Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use.
o Conduct routine checks and report any maintenance needs to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
* Demonstrated ability to stay organised and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, event-driven environment.
* High attention to detail for packing and inspecting equipment to ensure quality and consistency.
* Effective verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and event staff.
* Confidence driving and navigating London, along with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum age of 25 (required for insurance purposes).
* Valid and clean driving licence eligible for use in the UK.
* Comfortable with manual handling, lifting, and physically active work in warehouse and event settings.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* This role will require travel, evening, and weekend work depending on the event schedule.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple events simultaneously.
