An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) Safeguarding Team as a Safeguarding Adults Advisor We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic safeguarding practitioner who has a genuine commitment to safeguarding adults who will support to drive the safeguarding agendas forward across the organisation, utilising a THINK family approach. Main duties of the job The post holder will support the operational delivery of the adult safeguarding agenda including Mental Capacity Act (MCA, 2005) & Deprivation of Liberty safeguards (DoLS). The post holder will support the THINK family approach across the organisation. The post holder will provide a crucial link between staff, the Safeguarding Team and external agencies eg Police and Social Care and act as a safeguarding role model to staff by the delivery of high-quality advice and support in individual cases. The post holder will ensure links are maintained with a variety of outside agencies and attend multi-agency meetings internal and external to the trust.
