Salary : £16,439 - £21,868 per annum (Apprentice Grade)
Hours: 36.66 per week
Location : Chadderton Town Hall, Middleton Road, Chadderton, Oldham. OL9 6PP

Role Overview:
To provide clerical assistance to the Registration Service Manager/Superintendent Registrar in the provision of registration services to the public
Key Responsibilities:
* Use a range of computer packages e.g. typing letters in word, inputting data onto spreadsheets and registration databases
* Account for cash transactions/ daily reconciliation of certificates and sales transactions.
* Cover reception as required.
* To provide a high standard of customer care and ensure that all information is kept secure and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
* Register marriages, civil partnerships as per legal requirements by direct personal questioning and accurately recording this in both written and electronic records
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
* Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to use IT applications in relation to the requirements of the post including excel, Microsoft word,outlook
* Willing to learn new skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
* Good organisational skills to be able to manage competing demands
