Job description
Develop and maintain a range of data capture MI products to lead performance reporting for the Deputy Director, Senior Leadership Team and briefing to Ministers.
Collaborate with colleagues in Disability Services [DS], Finance, Service Design & Optimisation [SDO], Contract Management & Partner Delivery Directorate (CMPD), Analysts, and wider intelligence networks to share intelligence, forecasts, latest innovations, and best practices.
Support DS leadership with advice and guidance on all performance and deployment issues.
Make evidence-based decisions in the planning and deployment of resources across PIP, DLA, AtW and IIDB product lines, identifying opportunities to maximise productivity, capacity, and clearances, in line with operational priorities.
Identify and minimise delivery risks to the business.
Review the collection and collation of appropriate, robust data and MI. Present this proficiently, to enable operational leaders to competently drive the business.
Develop and review MI systems, processes, and practices to ensure improvements, adopting a continuous improvement approach.
Provide regular and adhoc briefings for Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support day to day operational delivery, and a monthly Deputy Director review of performance and resources, including analysing trends and emerging issues.
Provide support to Operational leaders with understanding how metrics are calculated, how data is captured, and how to drive deployment and productivity.
Provide leadership and direction to a small geographically separated team, to coach, mentor and support their technical capability and development, to deliver an effective performance reporting and planning function.
Collect and collate weekly and monthly data across all Disability Service product lines.
Provide MI reports in various formats helping our leaders monitor and understand performance. These include:
1. Service Optimisation packs for groups and the network.
2. Weekly Deployment Reports.
3. Task Data.
4. Weekly Forecasts.
5. Heads of work.
6. Weekly DS Headlines.
7. MI for MfD weekly update.
8. Staffing and ABM data including TDA, spans of control etc.
9. Provide data for Service Design colleagues to build into the Buzz Pack each week.
Maintain the DS Information Hub and alert leaders when all data is available.
Provide various scan extracts to identify areas of concern and direct teams to work on priority areas.
Report on and monitor PIP aged cases and work with operational teams to ensure cases are progressed, good practice is shared and any issues highlighted and escalated where appropriate.
Facilitate regular performance and update calls with site leads and other colleagues to keep them up to date on performance, HoW etc.
Track Long Term absences with a collated monthly return.
Work closely with Service Design and Contract Management monitoring referrals to providers.
Build and monitor the people Survey each year for Disability Services and provide analysis when results are published.
Cost, plan and monitor Overtime budgets.

Person specification
Essential Criteria:
This is primarily a data analysis and data management role. You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding, experience and technical knowledge of using advanced excel functions to analyse data, produce reports, MI products and capacity planning.
You will need to demonstrate strong ability to analyse, interpret and explain complex data and information, supporting Service Delivery leaders, enabling service optimisation and continuous improvement.
There will be occasions when you will be required to produce reports, forecasts and trend data at short notice. While we have skills within the team to support this role, you will need to be able to do this work independently.
You will need to demonstrate experience and aptitude in making sound evidence-based decisions, supporting the planning and deployment of resources, influencing strategic business direction.
You will need to work collaboratively and communicate confidently with a range of senior stakeholders in Disability Services Finance, SDO, CMPD and wider networks sharing intelligence, forecasts, latest innovations, and best practice.
