Due to our ongoing expansion strategy, GM UK is looking for a Network Development Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director.
Location is flexible, as this role encompasses the whole of the UK given that this is a national position. There will also be a need to work from our head office once a week in Princes Risborough – usually on a Monday.
Main Areas of Responsibility
1. Growing the UK Network
* Expanding both the GM and U-Save network to new franchisees
* Growth expectation of the network to be in line with the company strategy
* Target will be to grow by 6 locations over the next 12 months
* Build a robust pipeline of potential franchisees and share with senior management on a regular basis
* Responsible for the end-to-end implementation for all new locations
* Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure that all new franchisees become embedded in the GM UK network
* Helping and encouraging existing franchisees to grow
1. Standardisation
* Ensure that both the customer journey and experience are seamless irrespective of the location
* Drive the standardisation of products, service, and culture across the UK network
* All locations to have up-to-date branding and uniforms
* Attend regular site visits to ensure continuity is adhered to at all times
* Carry out regular audits at each location and cascade the findings to both the franchisee and GM UK senior management
2. Training
* Produce a detailed “play book” for all franchisees which details a full training manual for all new employees
* Arrange for quarterly training sessions to take place at GM UK for all new starters
* Liaise with GMI on a regular basis to be aware of any new products and services which have been launched so that we fully understand how these can be deployed at a local level
* Mentor local stakeholders from each location on Operations, Systems, and Counter Sales
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of 5 years operational experience within the rental industry
* A proven track record of dealing with a franchise environment is desirable
* Credible and tenacious with excellent interpersonal skills
* An appetite to grow the GMUK / U-Save network
* Willingness to travel across the UK to grow/support the UK footprint
