Job Description:
Southwark Council is looking for x2 Electricians to undertake works on void properties across the borough. The ideal candidates will have experience in all aspects of electrical works, including rewires, testing, and minor works. As part of the team, you will be expected to complete essential electrical tasks, including certification and ensuring the safety and compliance of the properties.
The role involves working within void properties to ensure that all electrical systems are in proper working condition before the properties are handed back to tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake and certify electrical works, including rewiring of properties.
* Conduct electrical testing and provide certification where required.
* Carry out minor electrical works, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards.
* Report back to the office regarding any concerns, issues, and follow-up work needed.
* Ensure the safety and risk mitigation for all residents.
* Maintain clear and up-to-date records of all work carried out.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Electrician in social housing or similar settings.
* Ability to undertake and certify electrical testing, rewiring, and other electrical tasks.
* Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Valid electrical certification and relevant qualifications.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
