Job Description
H/Advisors Cicero are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team for 9-12 months to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery and development of the HR strategy and a wide range of HR support services, advisory and programmes for our talented consultants, people managers and leaders.
This role provides a unique opportunity to get involved in and develop the HR strategy as well as handle the day-to-day deliverables of the HR function. It is the perfect role for a candidate who enjoys variety, doesn’t mind getting involved in the hands-on delivery of HR programmes but also wants to be involved in generating ideas and strategies with the empowerment and autonomy to own them.
The successful candidate will have around 5 years of HR experience, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, detail orientation, a respect for confidentiality, a keen interest in business strategy and supporting people.
The ideal candidate would have an understanding of the corporate communications sector and communications agency business model.
Responsibilities:
Training & Development:
* Liaising with managers and leadership on thematic and strategic training needs and working with training partners to deliver these effectively.
* Ongoing delivery of Cicero Secondment Programme.
* Ongoing delivery of our Pulse Pathways integration programme.
* Liaising with employees on their goals and development needs and supporting them in finding solutions.
* Local launch of international exchange programme.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
* Liaising with the Group DE&I team on upcoming programmes and projects and updating on Cicero activities.
* Management of internship programmes with external partners
* Delivery of women’s network and events
* Ongoing delivery of mentoring programme
* Development and design of other training, events and programmes.
Employee Engagement
* Delivering engagement programmes aligned to HR strategy and employee survey results.
* Ensuring regular employee feedback mechanisms (focus groups, surveys, informal feedback), and supporting the leadership team in responding to these with the development of responsive strategies, actions and programmes.
* Liaise with social committee on social and cultural events.
Internal Communications
* Presenting at town hall meetings and contributing to internal newsletters with people & talent updates.
* Delivering people & talent updates at senior leadership meetings.
* Supporting managers and leaders with timely communications (for example during appraisal, pay review cycles)
Employee relations, HR policies & compliance
* End to end support on implementing employee relations processes, policies and procedures and guiding people managers, leaders and employees through this.
* Monitoring legal updates, best practices and implementing changes.
* Liaising with employment lawyers for additional legal support where necessary.
* General day to day business partnering with senior partners – providing timely advice to support them in dealing with any HR challenges.
* Monitoring market salary data and ensuring our organisational banding remains competitive.
Operational support:
* Working closely with the Finance team on monthly payroll updates, budgeting and salary review processes.
* Liaising with Havas IT and Building Services departments on IT equipment, desk assessments and health and safety.
* Liaising with wider Havas HR teams on group initiatives and communications.
* Occasional reporting responsibilities within the Group.
Administrative
* Working closely with our Senior Executive Assistant on administrative tasks such as employee onboarding and exit process, annual leave booking processes, drafting HR paperwork, contracts and letters.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Availability for handover during w/c 25th November (start date may be more flexible).
* A minimum of 5 years HR experience with a proven track record of working in a generalist role across multiple areas of HR services and programmes.
* Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law, policies and procedures.
* Ability to work independently – proactively managing time, projects and programmes with little day to day guidance.
* Ambition to work on both the development of strategy and delivery of programmes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* An excellent ability to balance being personable and approachable with being professional and applying high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
* Adaptable and flexible to new situations and challenges.
* Problem solving attitude – proactively seeking solutions to challenges and providing options to the business to consider.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Flexibility to work in a hybrid working format.
* An understanding of corporate communications sector and agency experience.
* Experience with Workday HR system.
