It’s within this skilled team at Marshalls that we’re recruiting for an Engineering Manager to support the Site Engineering Manager on all things engineering at our Sittingbourne site. What's the mission? You will support in the delivery of the engineering strategy across the Sittingbourne site through the engaging leadership and strong management of a team of specialist shift maintenance engineers People are at the heart of our operation, so it's key that you are an engaging and forward-thinking leader. You'll be responsible for engineering activities on shift, compliance, health and safety requirements, continuous improvement and people development, ensuring KPI's are met / exceeded and production downtime is minimised. We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader, someone who will engage our colleagues hearts and minds while managing, coaching, and developing your team to create and sustain a proactive culture and approach to the prevention of equipment failure. What are the mission-critical skills? Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications HNC / HND, Level 4 / 5 NVQ or equivalent 3 Years’ experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation Experience of leading a large engineering team, ideally in a unionised environment IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs Project management and leading/delivering change is desired Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be an advantage Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing techniques e.g. Problem Solving, 5s, SMED What's in it for you?
