Our client is a small engineering business, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who ideally is part or fully AAT qualified to join their small accounts team.
Job Description for the Accounts Assistant role:
* Processing purchase ledger, matching purchase invoices to delivery notes.
* Coding and posting of purchase invoices.
* Posting of payments.
* Investigating any queries.
* Preparing month-end accruals.
* Debtor chasing and liaising with the manager who will deal with escalations.
* Monitoring the cash flow.
* Banking and petty cash.
For the Accounts Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with:
* Part or full AAT qualified or equivalent.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good organisational skills.
* Engineering background would be an advantage.
* Ideally experience of working within a small business.
* Multicurrency experience is an advantage.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 1:30 pm.
Salary: £26,500 per annum.
