35 hours per week
£63,990.72 (if London based) per annum / £61,125.54 (if National) per annum
1. Flexible working hours: 8─4, 9─5, 10─6 or in between (to be agreed with your manager)
2. 28 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
3. Pension-match contribution up to 8% can opt out, have to auto enrolled every 2 years do get money refunded if opt out you contribute 4% and will be matched to 8%
4. Life assurance – death in service, 4x salary gets paid to nominated person.
The Children’s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We’re there for children, every step of the way. This role sits within our Finance team and CEO office. The CEO's office includes Finance and Legal and Governance teams, and works across all areas of the charity providing expert leadership and advice to ensure our operations are legal, compliant, sustainable and secure.
About the role
The Head of Financial Accounting & Finance Systems will ensure the integrity of the accounting records and financial reporting. They will lead of statutory accounts preparation, year-end audits and month-end close. This role will play a lead role in employing strong financial controls and statutory compliance while managing and developing staff, building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance and driving department efficiencies, improving processes and strengthening financial controls. This role will also oversee and ensure the organisations finance systems are working effectively and operate under the right control environment and enable the wider team TCS.

7. You will be able to manage and team and ensure there is strong consistent performance
