Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturing company with sites nationwide. They are looking for an experienced Site Quality Leader / Quality Manager to join them.
Salary depending on experience (to be confirmed).
Hours of work: Day working hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
As the Site Quality Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the development and proper application & deployment of quality activities and internal/external quality standards within the plant, working closely with relevant B&I stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to support operations delivering products and services right first time.
The focus of this role is the direct responsibility of the plant quality organisation and plant quality performance, the quality activities and quality standard processes application within the whole plant value chain, the internal and external plant quality representation, the applicable products and processes quality standards and certification compliance, the management and improvement of the quality management system, and the efficient management of quality issues and associated improvements.
The main duties and responsibilities of your role are to:
1. Ensure safety compliance for all quality related activities and demonstrate active leadership for whole plant safety compliance and improvement.
2. Lead overall quality plant management (Quality team management, competence management, recruitment, budget, capex, quality processes application).
3. Act as the plant quality representative (Plant management reviews, feedback/feedforward with team, Quality strategic plan, Quality KPIs monitoring).
4. Manage internal and external audits/certification (Products) and relevant certificates.
5. Oversee ISO 9001 and Plant QMS management (Process & internal – external audits).
6. Manage and improve the Quality Laboratories processes and activities, including accredited laboratories as appropriate.
7. Provide quality inputs for relevant projects/products development.
8. Create and implement quality and control plans for new/transferred products.
9. Systematically apply and improve quality activities in the plant.
10. Manage quality claims and associated root cause analysis.
11. Monitor supplier quality performance.
12. Coach site for proper deployment and usage of quality and continuous improvement fundamentals.
13. Work closely with plant CI leaders & plant managers to ensure CI standards implementation.
To be successful in the role you will have:
1. 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/production environment.
2. A Master Engineering degree, or equivalent.
3. Site quality or lab responsibility experience (ISO auditor preferred).
4. Problem-solving experience (6 Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred).
5. Profound knowledge and experience of quality standards and quality checks.
6. Profound knowledge of our products and their acceptance criteria.
7. Profound knowledge and experience in quality methodologies.
8. International working experience in an industrial organisation.
9. Strong people skills to communicate effectively with teams.
Previous job titles could include: QA Technician, QC Technician, Quality Assurance Controller, QA Manager, Quality Control Manager, etc.
