Your role will be to coordinate the design, cost and administrative side of new water mains for development sites across our Anglian Region, providing a truly excellent customer journey for our customers. As a Designer, you will be responsible for providing support to the wider team delivering a comprehensive and seamless service to the customer requiring new water infrastructure on development sites. You will validate incoming applications for new mains, diversions and connections through our internal systems. Assist the Project Managers in collaboration of a high-quality design in Auto-CAD, alongside being cost efficient and in line with standards as described in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Feed into the preconstruction information that is developed as part of the ongoing project. Wider liaison with our internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the Project Managers, Assurance Engineers, Programme Manager and Pre-Construction, Self-Lay & Delivery Co-Ordinators. What does it take to be a Designer ? Alongside strong administration and team working skills you will ideally be experienced in Educated to A level standard with appropriate specialist technical/engineering qualification or equivalent proven experience Sound understanding of AutoCAD Strong and effective communication skills to speak with a variety of internal & external stakeholders Acute attention to detail with excellent time management skills. SAP (Experience would be good however training will be provided) Which forms part of the cost element Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar would be an advantage Confidence in learning new systems and skills alongside constructively conveying innovative ideas In depth review of developer’s information and application with strong IT skills are key and we are looking for experience in all Microsoft Office packages Why Anglian Water?
