Content/PR Manager
This is a key role within an ambitious and friendly award winning agency. You will be a highly organised, motivated and self-directed Content & PR Manager. The role will involve the planning, implementation and evaluation of communication campaigns that will include among others digital content, website, PR and activations.
You will either lead or work alongside the SMT, Head of Account, Agency Digital Lead and Creative Content Lead to identify clients’ current and future Content and PR needs in order to develop strategic and tactical solutions to achieve their objectives. You will be required to direct multidisciplinary agency teams and work closely with clients, at all levels, in order to build relationships based on respect and trust.
M AIN TASKS:
Content:
• Working with the Client Services team, Agency Digital lead and Creative Content Lead, develop audiencefocused content strategies for our clients which are aligned with their vision and goals.
• Develop high-quality, engaging content, working closely with the Creative Studio team and external partners
to develop assets, ensuring that all content is aligned with brand guidelines and relevant audience insight.
• Content lead for specific clients / areas of content within our portfolio, including long form and web copy.
• Support the wider Client Services team by proactively identifying content opportunities and development.
Influencer Management:
• Help shape the agency’s approach to influencers and briefs which support client requirements.
• Work with the Client Service team to define the right approach for influencers to meet the set objectives.
• Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, building & nurturing strong working relationships, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place.
• Ownership and project management of any influencers, working alongside the Creative Production Manager and Creative Content team.
PR:
• Help develop the PR offering for the agency and its client base.
• Develop and execute effective public relations strategies, based on KPIs and performance metrics, to meet the business objectives of a client, within schedule and budget.
• Develop relationships within industry media, online journalists, and bloggers/creators.
• Concept, write and publish press releases, newsletters, ads, blogs, and other digital and print materials, which resonate with the relevant target market. Also consider high-quality backlinks which follow SEO best practice.
• Understand the tools, data, and insights to monitor performance and generate content ideas.
• Monitor social & online trends for reactive content/campaign ideas.
• Undertake competitor monitoring and social listening.
• Create a plan, strategy and action plan for the agency focusing on the agency
Activations:
• Help shape and contribute to any activation briefs which support client requirements.
• Ownership and project management of any external activation companies, working alongside the Creative Production Manager and creative teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
Necessary experience:
• 3rd level qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience, ideally in an agency setting.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with relevant key media contacts.
• Good understanding of the media landscape including digital (in particular SEO, PPC, Display, Social, Email, Content), the current landscape and future trends.
• Deep understanding of the content and PR process and skilled at working with creative teams. Ensuring all projects have been considered in their entirety including potential impacts on creative concept, production and identifying any risks or watch-outs.
• Ability to develop briefs including identifying key insights from background information, research findings, previous campaign learnings, creative and media insights.
• Liaison with Creative Studio/Partners to brief, co-ordinate and roll-out creative including production requirements.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to go beyond the client’s brief to provide holistic thinking to problems.
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask the right questions to identify the key communication issues.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to create reports, briefing documents and presentations.
• Excellent verbal skills with the ability to both brief individuals and make presentations to client teams in a clear, persuasive manner.
• Excellent project management skills, scheduling and administrating projects across the portfolio of clients in an effective manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofing skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to independently analyse alternative solutions and prioritise quickly within tight deadlines.
• Hunger and passion to evolve and develop the content and PR expertise and outputs for the agency.
