This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an engaged and growing team to support the patients we care for within the Gynaecology service.
We are looking for a highly motivated, friendly, organised and proactive Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Your main responsibilities would be to learn and complete independent diagnostic procedures and scans, such as Hysteroscopy, Ultrasound scans and biopsies. You will also be supporting cancer patient pathways with their diagnostics procedures.
You will have full support from the clinical and operational team with this exciting opportunity.
You will be the designated ambulatory nurse lead to support with gynaecology service including diagnostic oncology.
You will also be expected to provide clinical leadership and expertise in a speciality by providing information, support, advice and specialist knowledge to patients, their families and carers, and to act as a resource to the multi-professional team.
If you are successful you will participate in the co-ordination of patient care to ensure continuity throughout the patient’s care pathway and be pivotal in the review and development of the service, and to reflect the needs of the patient group.
You will liaise closely with the health care teams of in-patient wards, out patient department and primary care, including consultant
physicians and GP’s.
In this role you will demonstrate wide and in-depth experience of all aspects of the speciality, exercising clinical leadership and effective education within your sphere of practice.
You will monitor and improve standards of care through clinical audit, leading the development of practice through research.
