Salary - £25,540 - £26,527 pro rata to £21,463-£22,292
Who are we looking for?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wellbeing Team at BSDC and extend our support to our learners. This role will offer our learners health-specific wellbeing support to include responding to first aid incidents, sexual health advice and condom distribution, mental health first aid, supporting learners with medical protocol disclosures and managing their own health during their studies with us.
As a post-16 setting our aim is to empower our young people to manage their own health and wellbeing needs and this role will be key in supporting this independence. They will work alongside learners, learner next of kin and external support agencies as well as working within the Wellbeing team alongside Progress Coaches and Safeguarding Officers.
The role will be based at the Burton campus predominantly but there will be an expectation for regular drop ins to be delivered at the SBCA campus in Swadlincote.
We are looking for an approachable organised empathetic person with experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity. Experience of working within health or supporting health needs is desirable and training will be given.
