Community Mental Health Team Leader required in Halesworth and surrounding areas.
Main purposes of job:
The role is pioneering and will include supporting the Head of Services in arranging and attending professional meetings to introduce BreakForth to other organisations in Suffolk. There will be a lot of travel and networking involved, thus a clean driving licence and use of own car will be necessary. Once the service grows more established and we take on staff, the role will also incorporate leading a team. This will include holding supervisions, team meetings, answering staff calls, and creating platforms for staff to communicate.
People skills and strong communication skills are necessary, along with great organisational and time-keeping skills. The successful Team Leader will be expected to be creative and innovative, thinking on their feet and proactive in coming up with ideas.
Experience in the social care industry is necessary, and experience working with people with mental health problems is greatly advantageous. Skills in creating inspiring and friendly workspaces are highly desired.
The Team Leader will be expected to set reasonable goals and meet deadlines where necessary. They should be knowledgeable about current legislation, legal practices, and best practice standards, and communicate these appropriately to establish a strong service team. A desire for professional development and undertaking relevant training is essential.
