Our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Engineering team are looking for a Water Design Engineer to work on our joint venture, Caledonia Water Alliance, alongside Morrison Water Services to deliver Scottish Water’s SR21 Water & Wastewater infrastructure programme.
In this position, you will play a key role in the Water Capital Maintenance Rehabilitation programme for our client, Scottish Water, designing small diameter pipelines through our SR21 water infrastructure framework across Scotland.
You will be part of a diverse team of around 20x Civil Engineers and CAD Technicians, with support from specialist designers from within the AECOM and CWA communities. We promote staff development and progression, and there are many development opportunities within CWA and AECOM. We offer a unique opportunity to deliver the full project cycle, from concept design through to detailed design, and delivery!
The role will be based in Stepps, which is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, and local shops and café’s - and there’s parking provided too!
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Deliver: Support the Design & Build of water infrastructure, performing specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Work on detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.
* Collaborate: Liaise with clients and construction delivery team to work towards providing solutions to challenges that arise during the construction process.
* Quality: Perform work in accordance with agreed budget and schedule with moderate supervision; whilst complying with CWA Quality Assurance procedures.
* Innovate: Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.

Qualifications
