Job Description
The Production Planner will be responsible for:
* Plan, schedule, and manage production activities to meet business goals.
* Maintain a strong link between sales, procurement, and production departments.
* Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
* Monitor production progress and address any issues that arise.
* Implement lean production methodologies to optimise efficiency.
* Oversee inventory and ensure sufficient stock levels at all times.
* Report on production status to senior management.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations within the production environment.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Planner should have:
* A solid understanding of procurement and supply chain management.
* A proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
* A knack for problem-solving and implementing productive solutions.
* A good grasp of lean production methodologies.
* Able to lead the daily and weekly S&OP meeting.
