Job overview
We are looking for a Deputy Modality Lead for the Breast Imaging service, open to any HCPC registered radiographer. This is a fantastic opportunity to step up in your career. You will be crucial in delivering a very successful breast service across the county of Lincolnshire.
We require a confident, organised individual with initiative and drive required to manage day to day breast imaging for Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service and Symptomatic Breast Services. The post holder will manage mammography staff alongside the Breast Imaging Lead and Advanced Practitioners.
Main duties of the job
* Responsible for day to day HR management, recruitment and rostering.
* Problem solving and decision making for optimal service cover.
* Ensuring compliance with National and local guidelines and governance.
* Ensure service users receive the best possible care and complaints are investigated in line with Trust and NHSBSP procedure.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Bsc (Hons) Radiography or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
* HCPC or equivalent professional registration
* IELTS Level 7, CEFR level C1 if English not primary language.
* PGC in Radiology speciality/management - must achieve within 12 months of appointment.
* Management Programme - e.g. PGC or in-house equivalent.
* Attended radiation protection supervisor’s course
* Post Graduate Certificates
Previous Experience
* Previous management experience at senior level.
* Evidence of successful management of a team.
* Previous experience of service improvement/managing change.
* Experience as a senior member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Skills
* Knowledge of the NHS and NHSBSP current policies and legislation.
* IT skills including knowledge of Windows and Office.
* Ability to work to a high standard both technically and in patient care.
* Good interpersonal skills.
