Cyber and Digital Adviser
Location: The role will be based at either Farnborough (Show Centre ETPS Road, Farnborough GU14 6FD) or London Office (Salamanca Square 9 Albert Embankment, Herne Hill SE1 7SP). Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
ADS represents and supports over 1,300 UK businesses operating in the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. Our membership ranges from small and medium enterprises to global primes.
The Role
This is an entry-level role within a new team focused on Cyber & Digital at ADS, reporting to the Deputy Director of Cyber & Digital. You will engage with domestic and international stakeholders in the security and resilience sector on behalf of our members, including government departments and private sector entities. Responsibilities include organizing monthly security briefings, identifying topics, and securing speakers to provide valuable information and strategic insights. You will also support key events, including the Home Office Security and Policing Event.
Additionally, you will contribute to our cyber and digital offerings, providing thought leadership and serving as the secretariat lead for the Digital, Cyber and Resilience Group (DCRG). This role involves close collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and other government leads.

1. An interest and understanding of the challenges in the emerging cyber and digital landscape.
2. A broad interest and understanding of technology in the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sectors.
3. Ability to operate at both operational and policy levels.
4. Excellent coordination and organization skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Commercially astute, understanding the need to generate revenue through services and events.
7. Proficient user of standard Microsoft Office products.
8. Customer service focused, particularly through timely delivery of functions to members.
9. Strong team player who works collaboratively with colleagues, members, and partner organizations.
10. Holds a UK national security clearance to SC level or be eligible to hold SC clearance and willing to undergo the vetting process.
The Contract & Benefits
Permanent: full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 annually, depending on experience.
