**Job Title: Residential Support Worker**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Bank Residential Support Worker to join our team at Orient Street Short Breaks. This role involves providing high-quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and associated physical disabilities. Shifts will be allocated on an ad hoc basis, varying from occasional work to up to 36 hours per week for periods of up to 12 weeks, depending on service needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work as part of an in-house team to provide person-centred, safe, and engaging care for individuals in a respite setting.
- Support adults with learning disabilities and autism to develop independence, build friendships, and enjoy a positive experience during their stay.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, communication, and daily living activities tailored to individual needs.
- Provide support to individuals in crisis, emergency placements, or reablement services to facilitate transitions into new environments.
- Promote a safe and stimulating environment that upholds the rights and well-being of each individual.
- Follow policies and procedures in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations.
- Work flexibly, adapting to the changing needs of the service and the individuals being supported.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably with adults with learning disabilities and autism.
- A compassionate and patient approach with a commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and an understanding of CQC standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
