This thriving South Wales manufacturer is looking to further strengthen its existing Manufacturing function, following the acquisition of a number of lucrative new contracts. The company has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is the supplier of choice for many of the worlds leading equipment manufacturers.
Role and Responsibilities:
o Responsible for the implementation of production processes, leading productivity improvements with project based activities, including NPI and manufacturing cell design. and delivery of the design and validation plan for all new products.
o Identify manufacturing needs for new products in the development stage.
o Assist with shop floor layouts and cell designs and design fixtures and tooling for assembly teasks.
o Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.
o Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
o Oversee the installation of equipment and machinery.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
o Ideally hold an Engineering related Qualification : BEng / HNC / HND etc
o At least 5 years manufacturing engineering experience
o Experience with Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
