About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of care professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide the highest standards of care by assessing residents’ needs and developing tailored care plans.
* Promote independence and personal choice while ensuring physical, social, and psychological needs are met.
* Oversee medicine management, ensuring safe and compliant administration.
* Maintain the service’s reputation by liaising professionally with visitors and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines by proactively identifying and resolving risks.
* Lead, mentor, and support your team in line with NMC standards.
About the Service
Situated in the West Sussex coastal town of East Preston, the purpose-built service provides long stay and respite residential care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.
With 8 separate self-contained wings, our residents are provided with their own team of dedicated professional care staff who are committed to placing each individual at the heart of what they do.
What We’re Looking For
* The ability to lead a team and propose solutions to challenges.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
* IT literacy and familiarity with care-related systems.
* Respect for the values, views, and needs of others.
* The ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related conditions.
* Experience with clinical governance and quality programs is desirable.
