The role
The successful candidate will provide support to service users at our supported housing projects. You will need to be able to work sympathetically with our service users who have been homeless and have complex needs. You will work to empower service users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently and to be an asset to the community.
The right fit
* You will have a minimum of 2 years support worker experience, working with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, Mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse etc.
* You will be able to assess service user’s needs and plan and deliver effective, stimulating and dynamic support.
* You will also have demonstrable organisational skills with experience in timekeeping, planning and managing your workload effectively.
* You must have excellent communication skills.
* You’re able to manage risk and associated and ensure that procedures are followed, and risk is managed appropriately.
* You will be required to work on a rota basis involving 7-day cover.
