The Role
A Manager with a SAP Controls focus within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth of all SAP service lines as part of the wider ERP & Business systems team. Responsibilities include developing new business from existing clients and prospects, building relationships with blue-chip organizations, and establishing expertise in assurance and consulting support related to SAP.
Responsibilities
1. Managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, audit tenders, bid management, proposal writing, and client presentations.
2. Leading SAP security and controls engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
3. Evaluating the design and effectiveness of SAP controls across business cycles.
4. Managing overall output from client engagements.
5. Overseeing scoping, financial management, risk management, and review of deliverables.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with senior client stakeholders across various organizations.
7. Collaborating with teams to design and implement controls for SAP implementation projects.
8. Promoting SAP and ERP capabilities within KPMG and informing other service groups of added value.
9. Expanding SAP services in specific segments like B2C and B2B across sectors.
10. Coaching team members and training colleagues in SAP and related technologies.
11. Leading product development and innovation in SAP GRC, data, and analytics technologies.
The Person
Experience and Background
1. Experience in SAP Security, including Basis and Role design.
2. Understanding of SAP business analysis and core financial processes.
3. Experience with core ERP systems like SAP and Oracle.
4. Functional knowledge of SAP GRC, Financials, and BPC.
5. Strong understanding of SAP applications such as ECC and S/4HANA.
6. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and compliance.
7. Familiarity with supporting technology platforms.
8. Ability to present to large audiences on industry topics.
9. Understanding of system risks, controls, and business environment.
10. Excellent relationship-building skills.
11. Ability to deliver within deadlines and budgets.
