Principal Systems Engineer - Automotive
We are currently searching for a Principal Systems Engineer to join an expanding Electrical and Electronic department with an OEM based in an outstanding new facility in the Warwick area. You'll be involved in a range of new vehicle development programmes for passenger EV's for the European market. This wide role involves working with different teams and projects and hence provides a unique opportunity to keep developing skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Integration, development, and testing of Electrical and Electronic systems in the domains of ADAS/AD, HVAC, and Body systems.
2. Conceptualisation, design, and proof of concept of new systems and features.
3. Support the delivery of System Engineering artifacts through the complete V-cycle.
4. Model-based design and model-based systems engineering.
5. Support the analysis and benchmarking of features available in the market.
6. Develop and test hardware and software solutions on bench (e.g., MIL/SIL/HIL) and vehicle using commercial solutions such as simulation and validation tools (e.g., Simulink/IPG/dSPACE/NI).
7. Support the delivery of Engineering sign off through DVP and report DV progress from conception to test execution.
8. Support SW development and testing using at least one of C/C++/Python/Matlab/Simulink.
Qualifications:
1. A degree or similar qualification with depth of knowledge in a relevant technical specialty.
2. Proven experience with Systems Engineering processes and methods, development, prototyping, and testing of control strategies.
3. Experience with MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect, DOORS, etc.
4. Experience with data acquisition and analysis of large volumes of data.
5. Practical experience of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
6. Working knowledge and experience using at least one of: C, C++, Python, Matlab, Simulink.
