Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure all equipment operates efficiently, minimising downtime and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Duties
* Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, mechanical components, and logic controllers.
* Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational procedures.
* Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance on best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
* Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts for machinery.
* Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from other departments.
* Collaborate with other teams to implement improvements in processes and equipment reliability.
Experience
* To carry out PPM’s as per the maintenance system at site.
* Maintain facilities both internal and external to the factory.
* To cover production breakdowns and ensure all jobs are carried out in a timely fashion whilst always adhering to health and safety.
* Responsible for engineering housekeeping in both the workshop and stores areas of the department.
* Conduct Continuous Improvement projects throughout to promote development and improve production efficiencies.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-3pm
£40,000 going up to £45,000 after 3 months probationary period.
