Job Description: The role of Supplier QA and Improvement Technologist ensures that the supply of packaging materials of the assigned category complies with Mars Quality Standards through adequate non-conformance management, enhancing suppliers’ ability to continuously improve their performance and supporting all internal processes related to Packaging Supplier quality. This role is also the first point of contact for allocated Mars Pet Nutrition Europe (PNE) manufacturing sites for all topics related to packaging material supplier quality. You will support in developing standardized ways of working in the field of pack supplier non-conformance and performance management. Your goal will be to mitigate any recall risk, and assure that we are delivery the best quality products possible to our customers What are we looking for? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in driving continuous improvement projects with a multi-functional team Proven experience in quality management or relevant technical expertise Able and willing to travel in Europe (up to 25%) Manufacturing experience, with the willingness and physical capability to work in such environments when necessary. What will be your key responsibilities? Be first point of contact for allocated PNE manufacturing sites with regards to supplier related non-conformances in packaging materials. Continuously manage and improve Supplier Relationship Management and enhance supplier performance through adequate non-conformance follow up for the assigned factories. Support developing Best Practice in the area of supplier related non-conformance management, supplier continuous improvement, and SQA attendance within PRIMP process for packaging. Apply all relevant Sourcing standards, processes and procedures and act as adviser on these to other functions. Support the development and enhancement of internal systems and tools to improve quality reporting and data management efficiency. Drive key projects in the area of packaging continuous improvement by engaging cross-functional stakeholders. What can you expect from Mars?
