We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client to support the Senior Commercial Manager and the team in enhancing processes and procedures within the business. The role will be office based in South Bermondsey with travel to site for meetings and visits as required.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Ensuring a professional decorum with clients and contractors and stakeholders at all times
Liaise with Estimating, Pre-Construction, Design, Document Control and Operational teams to ensure proper exchange of information.
Collating, updating and developing any required trackers for projects with a clearer understanding of the purpose and use of the data collected.
Assisting with and preparation of rolling final accounts and monthly applications to all clients along with monitoring certification and cash received
Assisting with and preparation and agreement of final accounts
Keeping track of project retentions
Assisting with and procurement of subcontractors
Manage all aspects of the change control process including raising any appropriate Contractual notices.
Manage any Client or ASC document control systems.
Reviewing drawings for changes, track and issue as appropriate
Assisting with and pricing of any change / variations on all Contracts
Review record sheets and Smart Sheets and action any change or programme impact resulting from
Assisting with and preparation of cost and value analysis including forecast cost to complete
Attending meetings when required and taking minutes if required to record and protect ASC Contractual interests.
Assisting with and preparation of analysis of tender allowances for labour, plant and materials, and subcontractors
Assisting with and preparation of cash flow forecasting
Reviewing progress against programme
Identifying and managing risk
Assisting with and preparation and submission of appropriate Contractual documentation and notices
Assisting with and analysis of costs
Assisting with and analysis of subcontractor applications and accounts
Logging and tracking change on all contracts
General admin and filing and storing of information across the network.
Goal:
To deliver effective and focused support, with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of the commercial delivery of all projects across the business.
To continue to develop more detailed commercial skills and assist the Senior Commercial Manager and other team members drive improved process and procedure in the business.
To provide guidance and support to the operational teams to ensure proper Contractual administration of projects.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
