About the Role In this job, you will be the face of Active Surrey, raising our strategic profile, seeking new funding opportunities, and passionately advocating for our organisation and its impact. You will be a strategic thinker, capable of evaluating options and steering change to secure the optimal future direction for the Active Partnership. You will provide a steady hand, leading a team through change and creating a culture aligned with our values of curiosity, collaboration, passion, and inspiration. You will offer the organisation strategic, financial, and risk oversight, reporting to the Active Surrey Board and Sport England, ensuring compliance with the Code of Sports Governance. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of the physical activity strategy for Surrey, 'Movement for Change,' and accountable to funders and stakeholders for both system change and programme delivery. You will be an experienced collaborative leader and system changer, ensuring that physical activity is effectively integrated into priority areas. You will be agile to change, and able to creatively navigate a changing external environment and funding landscape. You'll have: A proven track record of operating successfully as a director or CEO The personal authority and gravitas to have impact and influence at the top level with key opinion formers both nationally and in Surrey Experience of working in the charitable, public, health or physical activity sector A genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion Strong financial and commercial acumen - oversight of a £4m budget, able to seek our new funding opportunities.
