FutureGen are excited to be working with one of Europe’s leading owners of outdoor media infrastructure. The company’s impressive portfolio of over 5,000 out of home advertising assets includes digital displays, classic paper and paste billboards, as well as super-premium digital sites. Our client buys, rents and obtains planning permission for property sites for outdoor advertising across the UK and Europe.
Role Summary:
They are looking for a full-time Planning Manager on a one-year fixed term contract, and maternity cover contract to assist the UK Head of Planning with the day-to-day management of the department. The role would suit a chartered town planner with five to ten years’ work experience. Being an in-house role this is a great opportunity for you use your planning and project management skills in a corporate environment. You will be surrounded by industry leaders within their field and the Head of Planning will be available for you to collaborate with throughout the contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the UK Head of Planning as required
* Lead on internal and external facing individual and portfolio projects
* Act as lead Project Manager to undertake the production of project documents to the highest standard in accordance with project timescales in relation to planning due diligence, planning applications, planning policy analysis, input into planning appeals/public inquiries and any other planning work as required
* Liaise and work with internal Departments and external consultants (e.g. planning, highways etc)
* Ensure application and appeal deadlines are met
* Prepare, submit and negotiate applications and appeals for digital advertising applications Undertake planning due diligence and research as required
* Prepare, implement and manage a Smartsheet schedule to manage portfolio drawing sign off by Landlords and internal teams
* Maintain the planning sections of the Screen Maintenance Schedule pertaining to planning conditions
* Represent the firm at customer, landlord, and local authority meetings, Committee meetings and events where necessary
* Keep up to date with relevant planning regulations, policy and legislation
* Filing electronically application documents and correspondence and utilising internal business systems
* Prepare and deliver planning related CPD to the wider team
* Undertake own CPD and maintain RTPI status
* Investigate ways to continually improve processes within the team and business

* Member of the RTPI

* Ability to act professionally and engage with a range of stakeholders, employees, consultants and Local Planning Authorities
