An opportunity has arisen to join the Doctoral Academy which supports all postgraduate research students in the Faculty of Humanities (HUMS).
As part of the Doctoral Academy, we are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to actively carry out a range of tasks that support the recruitment of postgraduate researchers and contribute to the postgraduate admissions service.

This includes processing proposals and applications, updating web content and publicity, organising interview panels, and ensuring their smooth operation. The role also involves supporting broader recruitment and admissions events, such as delivering presentations at webinars and workshops for internal and external audiences, along with contributing to open days.
The successful candidate will have a customer-focused attitude and be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including excellent attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritise their workload when under pressure. Experience working with a range of IT systems in particular Excel, web publishing packages and Campus Solutions, would be advantageous, however, we are willing to consider candidates who do not have experience with these systems but have particularly strong organisational skills and are able to learn new systems and processes.
