SF Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work for our Leicester based client on an initial 6 month fixed term contract which has a high chance of being extended and/or going permanent.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Daily cashiering for various business units/bank accounts and reconciliations.
2. Allocation of bordereau payments on a monthly basis and ensure queries are resolved in a timely manner.
3. Assist in minimising unallocated cash for Surety line of business.
4. Carry out month end duties including bank reconciliations, cash clearing, and any other Surety balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Make outbound payments for bond claims (liaising with the claims department) and ensuring these are completed within the given SLA.
6. Adhoc duties as required by management including providing support when colleagues are on annual leave/sickness/training.
Skills and Experience Specification:
1. Accounting technical knowledge.
2. Attention to detail.
3. Experience in a cashiering role.
4. Sound knowledge of double entry accounting.
5. Experience of cash allocation and pro-actively minimising unallocated cash.
6. Positive, can-do attitude.
7. Problem solving and query resolution abilities.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Excellent organisational skills.
