Site Manager Location: Enfield, London Working Hours: 10 per day (Mon - Fri) Start Time 7am Pay Rate: £350 per day Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site for civil engineering projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing subcontractors, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Site Management: Oversee the execution of civil engineering works, ensuring the site is managed effectively and efficiently. Health & Safety: Ensure a high standard of health, safety, and environmental practices, ensuring the site complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and tool-box talks. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets the required specifications, standards, and client expectations. Review inspection reports and conduct site audits. Project Scheduling: Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring work progresses as planned. Resolve any delays or issues that may arise. Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of site operatives and subcontractors. Ensure they have the necessary tools, resources, and training to complete their work safely and efficiently. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and within the allocated time and budget. Client Liaison: Maintain communication with the client, consultants, and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and management of materials, plant, and equipment required for the project. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, health and safety reports, and project progress reports. Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements. Budget Control: Assist in controlling costs and managing project budgets, including reviewing and approving invoices for subcontractors and suppliers. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any on-site issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project's progress. Qualifications & Skills: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or similar. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card. Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering projects, with strong knowledge of construction processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Desireable: First Aid at Work qualification. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage). Site-specific certifications, such as CPCS or NPORS for plant operation
