Alexander Daniels are working with an established business based in Leamington Spa to recruit a Assistant Payroll Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and a passion for all things payroll. Daily Duties will include: Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process. Maintaining accurate employee records and analysing payroll data for discrepancies. Monthly team meetings for direct reports to ensure workload is managed effectively and individual targets are being met. Process Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required. Knowledge of accounts payable functions related to payroll. Prepare reports on payroll metrics for management review, identifying trends or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to payroll processing. Resolving pay-related queries, correcting any errors, and working with internal stakeholders to accurately complete payroll requests. Producing and reconciling payroll journals to ensure correct information is reported back to senior management. Other ad-hoc duties. Requirements: Proven experience in a payroll management role or similar position within accounting or HR. Strong knowledge of accounting or payroll software. Strong people management skills and the ability to lead a team. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to employees at all levels.
