Role Overview:
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that their housing developments are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role that offers the opportunity to work on exciting residential developments and further your career with a leading housebuilder.
This position is based in West Edinburgh and is for a flatted development so experience in this is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Oversee all on-site operations, from initial groundworks to final handover, ensuring the smooth progression of the project.
* Health & Safety: Implement and maintain strict health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safeguarding the welfare of the workforce.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction work meets the company’s high-quality standards and adheres to the specified design and construction criteria.
* Team Management: Lead and manage the on-site team, including subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and high productivity.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and surveyors, to keep them informed of progress and address any issues.
* Resource Management: Manage site resources efficiently, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maintain project schedules and budgets.
* Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any challenges or deviations from the project plan and recommending solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Education: A degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience: A proven track record of experience as a Site Manager in the residential construction sector.
* Certifications: Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work certification are required.
* Skills:
* Strong understanding of construction processes, NHBC building regulations, and health and safety standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
* Proficient in using project management software and MS Office Suite.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
