A Network Support Engineer/Manager is required for our public sector client based in Wrexham. The successful candidate will have high expectations, show commitment to improvement and progress, be a team player, and provide an excellent level of support to all school stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation's network and ICT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic planning of future technical developments and overall management of all computer systems.
2. Lead and proactively drive systems development by keeping up to date with innovative systems technology.
3. Responsible for the overall security of IT systems, hardware, and software.
4. Develop, implement, and monitor policy and procedures to ensure effective use of IT.
5. Respond appropriately to fault reports or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
6. Physically install desktop, server, network, and multimedia hardware and software.
7. Develop, implement, and monitor clear procedures for reporting faults and providing feedback on progress until completion.
8. Ensure that all software and systems are correctly licensed and maintain an inventory of hardware, software, and other computer supplies.
9. Regular maintenance tasks of software and hardware.
10. Server and Network Monitoring.
11. Printer fleet management.
12. User enrolment and archiving.
13. System Backups.
