Plumbing and Heating Engineer
ClwydAlyn is a social landlord looking after over 6500 homes. ClwydAlyn won the Best for Mental Health & Wellbeing award at the 2024 Working Families Best Practice Awards and we are looking to recruit a Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team for our planned upgrades of Kitchens and Bathrooms.
This post is on a permanent basis in our ClwydAlyn Property Maintenance Team.
Working Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

Who are we looking for in a Plumbing and Heating Engineer?
We are looking for someone with a strong Plumbing background who holds Core Gas Safe Certificates in the following:
* Central Heating = CEN 1
* Fires = HTR 1
* Cookers = CKR 1
* Core safety = CCN 1, CPA1, NVQ / City and Guilds
The purpose of this role is to provide 1st and 2nd fixes to newly installed bathrooms and kitchens and reconnect gas and plumbing fittings.
Most refits will be installed against existing appliance fittings and there will be very minimal adjustment work. There will be the requirement to refit and connect gas appliances.
The key responsibilities of a Plumbing and Heating Engineer:
* To work efficiently and effectively as part of our Plumbing and Heating Department carrying out plumbing and gas works in the following areas: Heating Upgrade Programme, Gas Servicing Programme, Responsive & Emergency Repairs.
* To ensure that a high standard of work is carried out without exception.
* To offer resident-focused support utilising Clwyd Alyn’s core values of ‘Trust, Hope and Kindness’.
* To support fellow operatives with either technical knowledge, guidance, and physical support.
* To ensure all plumbing and gas work is carried out and completed to both a safe and high standard, along with all required certifications.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role:
* You will hold a clean full driving licence.
* Recognised Trade Qualification –
* ACS including LPG = CONGLP 1 (Desirable)
* NVQ level 2 or equivalent
* Energy Efficiency (Desirable), Unvented hot water (Desirable)
This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check which we pay for.
