As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician working within cancer care, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting patients undergoing treatment for a variety of solid & haematological cancers ensuring they get the best from their medications and pharmacy service.
About the Role
This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician looking to specialise or advance in cancer care. You will:
1. Work with the pharmacy team in patient- facing roles supporting the completion of medication histories and reconciliation, facilitating discharges and providing specialist patient counselling within the inpatient setting.
2. Use your skills and knowledge to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines whilst minimising risk and resource utilisation.
3. Undertake leadership responsibilities including deputising for the lead clinical technician and mentorship of junior pharmacy technicians and support workers.
4. Work as part of the day-case and outpatient team within in the ECC Satellite Dispensary.

About you
We’re looking for someone with:
8. General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration
9. National Certificate in Pharmacy Services
10. Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
11. HN unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award (provided by Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before)
12. HNC Pharmacy Services Development and Management or equivalent
